[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] SBI Savings Bank has rolled up its sleeves to support children affected by abuse.

On the 17th, SBI Savings Bank announced that it will operate the second program of its social contribution campaign, "We Are Special Cider."

This program is a social contribution activity that supports children who have been victims of abuse and children living difficult lives in bankrupt families to grow up in better environments. It is carried out through business agreements with leading domestic social contribution organizations, including Community Chest of Korea, Good Neighbors, and Social Solidarity Bank.

First, various support measures will be implemented for children who have suffered abuse. Comprehensive psychological tests and psychotherapy will be provided to minimize the aftereffects of abuse and help them regain emotional stability.

At the same time, specialized support services related to child protection will be provided to the families of abused children. This aims to remove risk factors of abuse within the home and prevent recurrence, helping to create safer and happier families.

Along with this, a public awareness campaign to improve national perception of child abuse will be conducted. Child abuse prevention content will be produced and promoted through social networking services (SNS), and will be used in parent education and mandatory reporter training as part of child abuse prevention efforts to raise awareness.

Support will also be provided to improve the living environment of children in bankrupt families. A Vision Sharing Camp will be held to help families become self-reliant, promote positive family relationships, and establish healthy values.

Selected families through screening will receive education on household budgeting and family relationship improvement. Among them, children and adolescents from families with strong self-reliance will receive financial support. A dedicated account called "We Are Special Cider" will be opened, where a fixed amount is deposited monthly and fully sponsored after a certain period.

Specific solutions such as household budgeting, loan and debt management, and financial planning will be provided to families, children, and adolescents to help normalize household finances as soon as possible. Support will also be provided to improve the environment of child care facilities in the Seoul area and to purchase necessary items for the children through tailored assistance.

Jinmoon Jeong, CEO of SBI Savings Bank, stated, "This will not be temporary support but activities that address fundamental problems and create an environment for self-reliance, providing practical help." He added, "We will actively support neighbors in need around us so that they can live in better environments and grow as members of society."
