LG Q31, Priced at 209,000 KRW
Available from the 25th via Carriers and Self-Activation
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics is launching the budget smartphone 'LG Q31' priced in the 200,000 KRW range in South Korea.
On the 17th, LG Electronics announced that it will start selling the Q31 from the 25th through the three major mobile carriers and unlocked channels. The retail price is 209,000 KRW, making it the most affordable smartphone LG has released this year.
The Q31 features a 5.7-inch U-notch display, a 3000mAh battery, a MediaTek MT6762 chipset, and 3GB of RAM. Compared to the similarly priced 'LG X2' released last year (which had 2GB RAM), the Q31 offers higher RAM specifications, allowing for smoother performance in gaming, video viewing, and various other tasks.
The Q31’s cameras include a 5MP front camera and dual rear cameras with 13MP (standard) and 5MP (wide-angle) sensors. It comes with 32GB of built-in memory, expandable up to 2TB with an external memory card. The color option is Metallic Silver.
The LG Q31 also passed the U.S. Department of Defense’s military standard, known as 'Military Spec,' ensuring durability. This standard signifies that the device has sufficient durability for military operations, having been tested for low temperature, humidity, high temperature, vibration, drop, and shock resistance.
Shin Jae-hyuk, LG Electronics’ Mobile Marketing Manager, said, "We packed essential features into a competitively priced device," adding, "It will be a great choice for customers of various age groups who value cost-effectiveness and a compact size (around 5 inches)."
