"Isn't this going way too far beyond limits?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea on the 16th for issuing a statement regarding Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae’s son, saying it was “an act embodying the words of An Jung-geun, who said that it is the duty of a soldier to devote his body for the country (위국헌신군인본분·爲國獻身軍人本分).” He called it “a matter that would deeply sadden the patriotic martyrs resting underground.”
On the same day, Ahn said on Facebook, “Isn’t this going way too far?” and “As a citizen of the Republic of Korea and as a member of the Sunheung Ahn clan, I speak clearly.”
Ahn also stated, “Withdraw the outrageous remarks immediately and apologize for dishonoring An Jung-geun.”
