[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 17th that they held the 'K-Bio Online B2B Fair' at COEX in Samseong-dong.
At the event, 26 promising K-Bio small and medium enterprises specializing in quarantine, medical supplies, and health care products, along with 10 buyers from 8 countries, participated in B2B video export consultations.
Next to the consultation area, broadcasters Cristian (Mexico) and Panasa (Thailand), who are active in Korea, conducted live broadcasts demonstrating and experiencing 10 promising K-Bio products to promote them to buyers. Matching experts from the association were also present to conduct real-time Q&A sessions. The live broadcast was simultaneously aired on three platforms: TradeKorea, the association’s B2B e-marketplace used by over 210,000 overseas buyers, as well as the association’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
Kim Hyun-chul, head of KITA’s Global Marketing Division, said, "By incorporating live product demonstration broadcasts, we complemented the limitations of video consultations where buyers cannot physically experience the products." He added, "We will continue to explore various marketing methods to help our companies overcome the COVID-19 crisis."
