Ddingdong, Convenience Store Delivery Order Integration MOU Signed

CU Partners to Develop Convenience Store Delivery Service Accepting Seoul Sarang Gift Certificates Online

Ddingdong, Convenience Store Delivery Order Integration MOU Signed

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Honeybees, the operator of the delivery application (app) 'Ddingdong' (CEO Yoon Moon-jin), announced on the 16th that it has begun development integration work for a convenience store delivery service that can be paid with the Seoul Love Gift Certificate in partnership with convenience store CU.

Honeybees plans to onboard nationwide CU stores on Ddingdong next month and enable ordering and payment with the Seoul Love Gift Certificate within the year. Convenience stores, along with restaurants, are among the top places where the Seoul Love Gift Certificate is most frequently used for payments. Through this agreement, payment and delivery at convenience stores using the Seoul Love Gift Certificate will become possible on Ddingdong.

Previously, Ddingdong signed the 'Zero Delivery Union Agreement' with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and incorporated the Seoul Love Gift Certificate as a payment method. The Seoul Love Gift Certificate is a mobile love gift certificate issued by 25 autonomous districts of Seoul. While its main usage had been at offline affiliated stores, its usability has greatly improved by being integrated as a payment method on the delivery app Ddingdong.

Song Hyo-chan, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Honeybees, said, "Besides CU, we expect demand for online payment with the Seoul Love Gift Certificate from other convenience stores and restaurants, and partnership and onboarding applications are pouring in," adding, "We will continue to expand the service stores that consumers want."
