Recruitment for 'Cheongnyeon Tongjang' Subscribers Saving 200,000 Won After Depositing 100,000 Won

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Starting from the 16th, recruitment for new subscribers to a savings account program will begin, where working youth who save 100,000 KRW monthly will receive an additional 100,000 KRW from Busan City.

Busan City is recruiting new subscribers for the ‘Youth Hope Wings Account,’ which supports the foundation for asset building for young people living and working in Busan.

The city plans to recruit 650 new subscribers for the Youth Hope Wings Account from the 16th to the 23rd and carry out the support project for three years.

The Youth Hope Wings Account project has been promoted by Busan City since 2017 to help young people prepare for a stable future, selecting and supporting 500 people annually. As of the end of August, 1,300 people have been supported.

Eligibility requirements include: ▲ having a registered address in Busan, ▲ being a youth aged 15 to 34 (with household income recognized as 80% or less of the median income), and ▲ currently employed.

Upon joining the account, ▲ if the youth saves 100,000 KRW monthly, ▲ Busan City will match this amount 1:1, providing 100,000 KRW monthly for three years.

After three years, subscribers will receive a total of 7.2 million KRW (3.6 million KRW from personal savings + 3.6 million KRW from city support + interest separately).

However, those who have participated in similar asset-building support programs or have a history of receiving support are not eligible to apply. The city’s support funds must be used for youth independence purposes such as education expenses, housing funds (rent), marriage funds, and startup funds.

Applicants wishing to join can apply directly on the Busan City website. After qualification checks and screening, selected candidates will be announced on October 21.

Details on the recruitment announcement and application methods can be found on the Busan City and Busan Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center websites.
