[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) announced on the 15th that it will hold the "Warm R&D Robot Field National Idea Contest for Socially Vulnerable Groups."
This contest invites ideas for robot technology development projects that solve social problems, enabling socially vulnerable groups to continuously receive emotional, physical, and bodily ▲education ▲care ▲public services even amid the risk of infectious disease spread.
Anyone with ideas about future promising technologies related to non-face-to-face services using robots, whether individuals or teams, can participate in this contest.
The proposed ideas will be used to discover themes for national research and development projects in the robot field.
In this contest, the final selected grand prize winner (team or individual) and excellence prize winner (team or individual) will receive awards of 2 million KRW and 1 million KRW respectively, along with the KEIT President’s Award. Three encouragement prize winners (teams or individuals) will each receive 500,000 KRW and a certificate.
Applications will be accepted until 6 p.m. on the 10th of next month. During the application period, contest ideas can be submitted via email. Submitted ideas will undergo document screening and final judging before the final decision is made, and the awards ceremony is planned for mid-December.
