[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] EM Korea is showing strong performance. This appears to be influenced by Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu's visit to EM Korea's subsidiary, EM Solution, where he introduced the company as a leading small and strong enterprise in the Green New Deal.
As of 9:36 AM on the 15th, EM Korea was trading at 8,190 KRW, up 14.39% (1,030 KRW) compared to the previous trading day.
EM Solution, a small and strong enterprise located in Changwon, is one of the representative companies leading the national hydrogen industry based on eco-friendly energy technologies such as hydrogen charging stations, hydrogen plants, and eco-friendly resource food waste plants.
On the 11th, Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu visited EM Solution, a domestic leader in water electrolysis hydrogen production technology. Mayor Heo met with CEO Kang Samsu and executives of EM Solution to review the level of water electrolysis technology and the schedule for developing new technologies, and exchanged various opinions on ways to revitalize the hydrogen industry in Changwon.
Mayor Heo requested that EM Solution secure core hydrogen technologies through the development and commercialization of water electrolysis hydrogen production system technology, in accordance with the Korean New Deal comprehensive plan by 2025, which includes the development of hydrogen source technologies. EM Solution’s hydrogen production device can produce hydrogen at low cost without greenhouse gas emissions and can supply hydrogen gas safely and stably.
EM Solution, which has specialized P2G technology through over 20 years of performance improvement and capacity scaling of water electrolysis facilities, possesses the largest-scale water electrolysis facilities in Korea. It has installed numerous hydrogen charging stations nationwide, including the Changwon Palyong hydrogen charging station. P2G (Power to Gas, energy storage technology) is a technology that produces gas (hydrogen) that is easy to store and transport electrical energy by electrolyzing water. It is expected to be utilized in line with the government’s policies to expand renewable energy sources and activate the hydrogen economy.
On July 28, Changwon City announced the vision of "New Changwon Centered on Hydrogen by 2040." To foster the hydrogen industry and establish a cooperative system among companies, Changwon City signed a business agreement with seven companies, including EM Solution Co., Ltd., to cooperate in revitalizing the hydrogen industry.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu stated, "In line with the government’s Korean New Deal policy, we expect EM Solution to play a leading role in the green hydrogen production field."
