SK Networks Launches 'Mintit and Samsung Additional Compensation Rumor Spreading' Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Networks announced on the 15th that it will hold an SNS event to promote an additional compensation program when returning used phones through the used phone trading terminal 'Mintit' upon purchasing new Samsung smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note20.

SK Networks will conduct the 'Mintit·Samsung Additional Compensation Promotion Event' for two weeks from today until the 28th, giving gifts such as Starbucks coffee to 101 participants. This is to promote SK Networks' 'Mintit·Samsung Used Phone Additional Compensation Program.'

Previously, SK Networks announced that it would implement a 'Special Compensation Program' that provides up to an additional 200,000 KRW on top of the appraised value based on performance inspection when returning used phones for customers who purchase the Galaxy Note20 series, Galaxy Z Fold2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G models.

This promotion event will be held on Mintit's Facebook and Instagram. Participants can enter by informing friends through comments on the event post and posting the event content on their own Facebook or Instagram. By lottery, one person will receive a Galaxy Note20, and 100 people will receive Starbucks coffee gifticons.

A Mintit official said, "Considering customers who avoid visiting stores due to ongoing social distancing caused by COVID-19, we prepared a small SNS event to spread the news about the special used phone compensation program." He added, "We hope that more customers will conveniently purchase new smartphones and participate in used phone recycling by utilizing the special compensation program running from this month through October."

Meanwhile, consumers who purchase or activate Galaxy Note20, etc., at SK Telecom stores can complete special compensation and data deletion/return of their existing phones in a one-stop process through Mintit ATM inside the store. Also, when purchasing unlocked phones, special compensation can be received by using Mintit ATMs located at Samsung Digital Plaza and the three major domestic large marts.
