Lotte Hotel Selected as No.1 in Hotel Category for 6 Consecutive Years in 'National Brand Competitiveness Index' Lotte Hotel Seoul


[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Hotel, operating 31 hotels and resorts, announced on the 15th that it has been honored with the No. 1 award in the hotel category of the 'National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI)' for six consecutive years.


The 'National Brand Competitiveness Index' is a representative domestic brand competitiveness measurement indicator conducted by the Korea Productivity Center, aimed at spreading a management mindset centered on brand value and enhancing national brand value. Every year, it announces the competitiveness index of individual brands in 67 industries and 242 brands, with manufacturing industries evaluated in the first half and service industries in the second half of the year.


Lotte Hotel analyzed that the reason for winning first place for six consecutive years is supported by higher brand awareness compared to competitors, standardized services, and high customer satisfaction.


Meanwhile, in 2017, Lotte Hotel launched the premium landmark hotel brand 'Signiel' at Jamsil Lotte World Tower, a representative domestic landmark, and in June of this year, opened the second Signiel brand hotel, 'Signiel Busan,' in Haeundae, Busan.


In addition, Lotte Hotel has established itself as a leading hotel brand in Korea by operating the upper upscale hotel brand 'Lotte Hotel,' the lifestyle hotel brand 'L7,' the business hotel brand 'Lotte City Hotel,' and the themed resort 'Lotte Resort.'


In this year's National Brand Competitiveness Index, Shilla Hotel ranked second following Lotte Hotel, and InterContinental Hotel and Grand Walkerhill Seoul tied for third place.
