KEIT "The 11th of Every Month is 'Mutual Respect Day'... Will Eradicate Workplace Power Abuse"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT) has designated the 11th of every month as 'Mutual Respect Day' and is conducting a campaign to eradicate workplace power harassment and foster a culture of mutual respect.

On Mutual Respect Day, the campaign promotes adherence to 10 practical guidelines (I RESPECT U guidelines), including ▲ greeting first ▲ using proper titles ▲ prohibiting insulting language and behavior.

The practical guidelines were established based on the results of a survey conducted from July 13 to 22 among internal staff, diagnosing the risk of power harassment among members and investigating the current status of such behavior.

Ha Geun-cheol, KEIT's Standing Auditor, stated, "KEIT will continue to make steady efforts to create an organizational culture of mutual respect," adding, "We will also identify and improve areas where institutional power harassment may occur within R&D sites."

Meanwhile, KEIT operates a 'Power Harassment Reporting and Support Center' and has been carrying out activities to eradicate workplace power harassment, including conducting prevention education in July.
