[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will conduct a school violence survey from the 14th of this month to the 16th of next month. This survey aims to prevent school violence and establish countermeasures. The survey targets students from 4th grade in elementary school to 2nd grade in high school.
The survey will be conducted by having students individually access the school violence survey website (http://survey.eduro.go.kr) from their homes to participate.
Customized technical support will also be provided to ensure no students are excluded during the survey participation process. For visually impaired students, voice support and shortcut keys will be used to make the screen easily accessible, and for students from multicultural families, support will be provided in a total of seven languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, and Russian.
The survey results will be disclosed by school on the School Information site (www.schoolinfo.go.kr) in December.
Kim In-wook, Director of Student Life and Human Rights at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, explained, "The results of this school violence survey will be valuable data for establishing a cooperative support system for student-led school violence prevention activities and victim recovery."
