[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] An online exhibition hall where you can see the growth history of Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province at a glance has opened.
Seongnam City announced on the 10th that it will operate an untact (non-face-to-face) exhibition hall titled "My Seongnam, Opening the Future with Records" 24 hours a day, year-round, through the Seongnam City Hall website.
The online exhibition hall is composed of five sessions: ▲ Formation of the Gwangju Large Complex ▲ Promotion of Seongnam City in 1973 ▲ Development of new towns Bundang, Pangyo, and Wirye ▲ Creation of Pangyo Techno Valley ▲ Declaration of the Asia Silicon Valley Vision.
The history of Seongnam, organized by year and event, can be viewed through 100 photos and 70 electronic documents.
To operate the exhibition hall, the city previously collected various related materials from the Seongnam City Archives, the National Archives of Korea, the Presidential Archives, and the Gyeonggi Provincial Government.
Seongnam Mayor Eun Su-mi said, "We moved the planned exhibition of records commemorating the 47th anniversary of Seongnam City's promotion, which was held in the lobby of Seongnam City Hall in December last year and January this year, online," adding, "In the untact era of COVID-19, it will provide more than the information experienced on-site and support citizens' wise cultural life."
