On the 9th, Ha Seung-jin posted a lengthy apology on the community section of his YouTube channel 'Ha Seung-jin.'
Ha Seung-jin stated, "During a Twitch live broadcast, I mentioned the real names of several people, which made them very uncomfortable and embarrassed. After the broadcast ended, I realized I had made a big mistake and immediately contacted the parties involved to sincerely apologize for causing discomfort and embarrassment by mentioning their real names."
He added, "I am truly sorry for causing unimaginable harm to those whose real names were mentioned. I also sincerely apologize to their fans."
Earlier, Ha Seung-jin talked about a private drinking occasion with Kim Hee-chul during a live broadcast.
Ha Seung-jin said, "I recently drank with hyung Kim Hee-chul. You all know who Hee-chul hyung is dating, right?" thereby revealing the publicly known relationship with TWICE's Momo.
He continued, "Anyway, at the drinking party, he showed me a photo of Nayeon and teased me saying I look like her," mentioning Nayeon's real name as well. This remark quickly spread. Some fans were angered that private drinking conversations were disclosed in a public setting.
In response, Ha Seung-jin apologized, but the apology post was soon deleted.
Meanwhile, Ha Seung-jin is a basketball player who debuted in 2004 by joining the Portland Trail Blazers. After retiring, he has appeared on various entertainment programs and continues his broadcasting activities. Recently, he launched a YouTube channel to communicate with fans.
