Ambassador Jang's Visit to Anhui Province, Keynote Speech at the World Manufacturing Conference Forum
'Korea-China Advanced Manufacturing Business Meeting' with Participation of Over 90 Companies Also Held
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] Jang Ha-sung, the South Korean Ambassador to China, will visit Anhui Province to explore economic cooperation between Korea and China. This is Ambassador Jang's first visit to a Chinese province since the outbreak of COVID-19.
According to the Korean Embassy in China on the 9th, Ambassador Jang will visit Hefei City in Anhui Province from the 10th to the 12th upon invitation from Anhui Province.
During his visit, Ambassador Jang will attend the opening ceremony of the "World Manufacturing Conference Jianghuai Economic Forum" and deliver a keynote speech.
In his keynote speech, Ambassador Jang plans to propose "discovering a new economic cooperation model between Korea and China suitable for the post-COVID-19 era."
Anhui Province is growing as a center for advanced industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), displays, and robotics.
Ambassador Jang will also meet with local government officials including Li Jinbin, Party Secretary of Anhui Province, and Li Guoying, Governor, to discuss economic cooperation and human exchange measures.
Meanwhile, the Korean Embassy in China and the Anhui provincial government will hold the "Korea-China Advanced Manufacturing Business Meeting" on the 11th.
The business meeting, held both online and offline, will be attended by more than 30 Chinese companies including 19 display companies such as BOE, VISIONOX, and HKC; 5 automobile companies including CHERY and JAC; and 7 robotics companies including EFORT and SINEVA.
From Korea, about 60 material, parts, and equipment companies (19 participating offline) are expected to take part.
