[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 9th that it will provide purchase subsidies for the private distribution of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric cars and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
The project target quantity is 14 general passenger cars, 10 cargo vehicles, and 1 hydrogen vehicle, and applications will be accepted from September 8 until supplies run out.
The purchase subsidy will be provided differentially according to the vehicle type based on the effect of improving air quality, with up to 16.6 million KRW per passenger car, 26.4 million KRW (fixed amount) for cargo vehicles, and 35 million KRW (fixed amount) for hydrogen vehicles planned to be supported.
The distributed vehicle models can be checked on the Ministry of Environment's Electric Vehicle Integrated Portal, and eligibility for application includes residents aged 18 or older with a registered address in Haenam-gun as of the announcement date, or companies and corporations registered with business locations in Haenam-gun.
Residents who wish to apply for the purchase subsidy should visit the vehicle manufacturer or dealer for consultation, fill out the application form, and submit it; thereafter, the dealership will submit it to the county through the Low Emission Vehicle Purchase Subsidy Support System.
The private distribution project for electric vehicles is being promoted to expand the supply of environmentally friendly vehicles and to establish measures to reduce fine dust. Haenam-gun distributed a total of 28 vehicles (16 general passenger cars, 10 cargo vehicles, 2 hydrogen vehicles) in the first half of this year.
