Busan Vocational High School Online Continuous Recruitment System ‘HiJobAdo’ Upgraded

Busan Office of Education Strengthens Support for Vocational High School Students' On-site Training and Employment Amid COVID-19 Situation

Busan Vocational High School Online Continuous Recruitment System ‘HiJobAdo’ Upgraded Busan Metropolitan Office of Education operates the vocational high school regular recruitment system, HiJobAdo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is significantly upgrading the online continuous recruitment system ‘Hi-JobAdo’ to support field training and employment of vocational high school students who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 situation.

The Office of Education developed Hi-JobAdo in 2017 as the first nationwide system to support employment for vocational high school students and has continuously upgraded it since then.

Hi-JobAdo, a platform to support field training and employment for vocational high school students, integrates and provides recruitment information from the three major nationwide job sites including Worknet, as well as job openings discovered by the Office of Education.

It also supports △ continuous management and consulting of student resumes and self-introduction letters △ online non-face-to-face matching between companies and students (application submission, non-face-to-face document screening).

Additionally, it provides information on △ incentives for companies offering field training and employment to vocational high school students △ internet maps of industrial complexes in Busan, Changwon, Gimhae, and Yangsan areas △ status of 36 related institutions, specialized, and Meister high schools in the Busan area △ corporate support policies for companies offering field training and hiring high school graduates.

Vocational high schools in the Busan area can easily obtain information about excellent local companies using this system. Students can also receive continuous management and consulting for their resumes and self-introduction letters and proceed with online non-face-to-face matching recruitment procedures with their desired companies.

Superintendent Kim Seok-jun said, “This system is designed to support and connect schools, students, and companies to assist with employment and recruitment,” adding, “I believe it will be of great help to vocational high school students who are struggling to find field training and employment opportunities due to COVID-19.”
