[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Nuritelecom's stock price is soaring. It appears that President Moon Jae-in's promises to expand the supply of electric vehicles and hydrogen cars, as well as to establish a smart power platform, have influenced investor sentiment.
At 9:31 a.m. on the 8th, Nuritelecom was trading at 7,510 won, up 15.01% from the previous day.
President Moon stated in a video message during the online live broadcast of the "1st Blue Sky Day Commemoration Ceremony" the day before, "We will strengthen policy measures to simultaneously reduce greenhouse gases and fine dust."
He continued, "We will supply 'intelligent power meters' to 5 million apartments to build a smart power platform, and expand green living infrastructure that enhances energy efficiency through green smart schools and smart green cities."
Regarding the Green New Deal, which is a pillar of the Korean New Deal, President Moon said, "It is a strategy to overcome COVID-19 and a policy to respond to the climate crisis," and asked for the public's cooperation, stating, "660,000 jobs will be created by 2025."
Nuritelecom's main business is an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution, leveraging its communication software technology. It focuses on supplying smart grid and smart grid expansion projects, as well as microgrid construction projects.
The AMI system brand AiMiR provides a total AMI solution including remote metering communication modems for smart meters, data collection units (DCU), and head-end systems (HES). Nuritelecom is concentrating on securing global competitiveness in the electric AMI sector based on its accumulated technology from communication software and its business execution capabilities built domestically and internationally.
