[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Samsung began its second half-year open recruitment for new college graduate employees (Level 3) on the 7th. The recruitment is being conducted simultaneously across major affiliates including Samsung Electronics, SDS, Display, and Electrical.
According to Samsung Careers, Samsung Electronics is accepting applications for the second half-year Level 3 new college graduate recruitment from the 7th to the 14th. The recruitment fields include CE (Consumer Electronics), IM (IT & Mobile), and DS (Device Solutions) divisions, with the number of hires expected to be similar to previous years.
Those who pass the document screening will undergo a job suitability evaluation and take the GSAT (Samsung Aptitude Test) between October and November. Interviews will be held in November, and the final successful candidates will be announced in December.
The GSAT will be conducted online, as in the first half of the year, following the COVID-19 pandemic. Samsung previously introduced the online test to reduce social costs associated with large-scale on-site exams.
In the first online test of the year, Samsung provided candidates with kits containing necessary tools such as privacy ID covers, smartphone stands, and memo pads for each test section.
Candidates took the test by accessing the test program on the scheduled date for their applied company. Test supervisors checked preparations online one by one and implemented sufficient anti-cheating procedures, resulting in a successful completion of the exam.
Simultaneously with the recruitment of new college graduate employees, Samsung Electronics is also recruiting for the Samsung Convergence Software Academy (SCSA). Those who complete the training course and pass the designated exam can join the company with the same treatment as Level 3 new employees.
The final selected candidates will receive basic software concept education for six months starting January next year, followed by two months of training in fundamental software skills after completing the basic course.
