This year's job fair will be conducted entirely online for the first time among universities in the Chungcheong region to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and to comply with social distancing measures.
Participating companies include Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Samsung Life Insurance, Pulmuone, Amazon Korea, Edward Korea, MEMC Korea, the Army, the Research & Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, the Construction & Living Environment Testing Institute, the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and about 20 others.
The event will feature various programs such as ▲ recruitment briefings and job-specific lectures ▲ 'Meeting with Alumni' where employed graduates introduce their jobs ▲ 'Employment Expert Thematic Lectures' to gauge trends in the job market by field and employment strategies ▲ one-on-one counseling and application document review clinics with professional career counselors.
All sessions will be conducted through various video platforms such as Zoom and YouTube Live, and for students unable to attend the fair, some lecture content will be debriefed and used as online educational materials.
Lee Sung-ki, President of KOREATECH, said, "We prepared this non-face-to-face job fair to help students struggling with employment concerns," adding, "The university will continue to support current students and graduates so they can confidently take their first steps into society."
