[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Cheongho Nice will launch a new 'bottom suction' air purifier product featuring popular trot singer Lim Young-woong as its promotional model by the end of this month. This is Cheongho Nice's third product with Lim Young-woong as the promotional model, developed with a focus on the need to purify fine dust that settles on the floor.


The newly developed bottom suction air purifier is named 'New Hero.' The biggest feature of this air purifier is the bottom filter structure that facilitates the suction of fine dust near the floor. It was designed with attention to the fact that more fine dust settles closer to the floor due to gravity and that the concentration of fine dust on the floor rapidly decreases when the bottom suction function of the air purifier operates.


This product is equipped not only with bottom suction but also with 360-degree omnidirectional suction. Additionally, it features a 'rotating moving 3-way three-dimensional discharge' function to effectively purify indoor air. It sucks fine dust from every corner of the room and quickly releases clean air through a three-directional three-dimensional discharge method.


This is the first time Cheongho Nice has released an air purifier with a bottom suction function. To actively promote the features of the New Hero air purifier to customers, Cheongho Nice has completed a photo shoot with its promotional model Lim Young-woong. Ahead of the launch, the product's features were also introduced to product management experts called 'planners.'


Cheongho Nice also expects an 'Lim Young-woong effect' from the New Hero air purifier. Lim Young-woong signed an advertising and promotional model contract with Cheongho Nice in April for water purifiers and air purifiers. He has participated in advertising and promotional activities for the 'Senita' sterilizing ice water purifier and the 'Always' portable air purifier. This is his third marketing activity for the New Hero air purifier.


In the first half of this year, Cheongho Nice's water purifier sales increased by 25% compared to the same period last year. The company explains that among various factors for the surge in water purifier sales, the Lim Young-woong effect played a role.


Through the launch of the New Hero air purifier, Cheongho Nice plans to widely promote the importance of the bottom suction function to customers. Currently, in the same industry, Coway has introduced the 'Triple Power Air Purifier,' which cares for air quality down to the floor. SK Magic is reviewing the development of a bottom suction air purifier.


A Cheongho Nice official said, "Fine dust floating in the air settles on the floor, and Koreans tend to spend a lot of time sitting or lying on the floor. An air purifier that cleans the air near the floor, where people spend much of their time, is essential, and the bottom suction function is a new standard for air purifiers."
