Korean Native Chicken Association Hosts 'Native Chicken Cooking Showcase Ontact Event' to Boost Immunity Against COVID-19


The Korea Native Chicken Association (President Moon Jeong-jin) announced on the 4th that it will hold an "Ontact (non-face-to-face + online) Native Chicken Cooking Show-off Event."


The event is hosted and organized by the association and World Star, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and the Rural Development Administration, and will be held from September 5 to October 31 for Korean citizens or foreigners residing in Korea.


This event rewards participants who cook native chicken using their own secret recipes and post them on their SNS (social networking services such as Naver, Daum portal site blogs, cafes, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, KakaoStory, etc.) with awards including the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, the Chairman of the National Assembly Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee Award, and various prizes.


Notably, the event allows the same applicant to submit one dish based on native chicken or multiple different dishes for duplicate entries.


The application method is: ① For photo + description, post images of the native chicken cooking process and explanations such as recipes on your SNS, then link the internet address (SNS) on the "Event Board" in the community section of the Korea Native Chicken Association website to complete the entry. ② For video posting, post a video of the native chicken cooking process on your SNS, then link the internet address (SNS) on the "Event Board" in the community section of the Korea Native Chicken Association website to complete the entry.


The awards are as follows: ▲Grand Prize (1 person): Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award + Samsung smartphone, etc. ▲Gold Prize (1 person): Chairman of the National Assembly Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans and Fisheries Committee Award + Samsung air purifier, etc. ▲Silver Prize (2 persons): National Agricultural Cooperative Federation Livestock Economy Representative Award, Rural Development Administration Director Award + steam cleaner, etc. ▲Encouragement Prize (5 persons): Korea Native Chicken Association President Award + Red Ginseng Extract, etc. ▲All participants will receive a participation prize consisting of products from member companies of the Korea Native Chicken Association.


Winners will be selected based on analysis of recommendations, views, and comments on the recipes posted on the participants' personal SNS or the Korea Native Chicken Association website, and the announcement will be made on November 11, known as "Native Chicken Drumstick Day," through the association's website.


President Moon Jeong-jin said, "Native chicken is beneficial to health and contains many nutrients that can especially boost immunity, receiving much love from consumers. Recently, with the diversity of cooking utensils, various native chicken dishes catering to the tastes and preferences of all ages have been introduced." He added, "I hope this event will be a great opportunity to widely share your own recipes and happy memories with many people."


Meanwhile, the Korea Native Chicken Association website introduces various recipes such as native chicken beer barbecue, chicken breast steak and gyuasan, king oyster mushroom tteokgalbi, as well as native chicken gangjeong, chicken cutlet, grilled chicken breast skewers, and chicken hamburgers.
