[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Genexine announced on the 2nd that it has recruited Vice President Hong Seong-jun as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Vice President Hong, former President of Rokit Healthcare and former Executive Director of Finance at Handok, is a finance and legal expert holding certifications as a Korean Certified Public Accountant, U.S. Certified Public Accountant, and U.S. Attorney. He has overseen strategic planning and financial management across various industries including consulting, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals for 28 years.
Vice President Hong completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Administration at Yonsei University and has worked at domestic and international companies such as Anjin Accounting Corporation, Daewoo Motors U.S. branch, Philip Morris Korea, Nike Korea, Schneider Electric Korea, Handok, and Rokit Healthcare. He also earned a Master of Laws degree from Vanderbilt Law School in the U.S.
Vice President Hong stated, "Based on my domestic and international work experience and the know-how accumulated at global companies, I will contribute to Genexine's growth as a global innovative company leading the pharmaceutical and bio industry." He is expected to oversee finance, legal affairs, patents, and investor relations (IR) at Genexine.
The company said, "Vice President Hong, who previously served as CFO at affiliated company Handok, already has a high level of understanding of Genexine's internal operations," adding, "We plan to enable faster and more effective business execution through Vice President Hong's leadership system."
