Exploring Efficient Operation Plans for the Market-Linked Startup Exploration Support Project 'Korean-style I-Corps'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University (President Jeong Hong-seop) Southeast Region Laboratory Startup Innovation Group (Director Noh Seong-yeo) held the 2nd Laboratory Startup Innovation Group Joint Workshop from August 26 to 27 at the Central Library Seminar Room.
The event was an opportunity to find development plans and discuss improvements for the efficient operation of the currently implemented ‘2020 Public Technology-Based Market-Linked Startup Exploration Support Project (Korean-style I-Corps)’.
Participants included Noh Seong-yeo, Director of the Southeast Region Laboratory Startup Innovation Group, and working-level staff from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Korea University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Sookmyung Women’s University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Pohang University of Science and Technology.
Working-level staff from the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation attended online to participate in the discussions.
Working-level staff from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation also attended and gave lectures on technology development commercialization, growth support, and cooperation plans.
Director Noh Seong-yeo stated, “Through the joint workshop, we were able to review the project’s direction, and we will strive to maximize project outcomes based on the discussions.”
The Dongmyung University Laboratory Startup Innovation Group was selected as the Southeast and Honam Region Laboratory Startup Innovation Groups under the 2020 Ministry of Science and ICT’s plan to expand laboratory startups, and is responsible for discovering, recruiting, and managing the Southeast Region Laboratory Startup Exploration Teams.
