Washup Korea (CEO Ahn Yong-chan) announced the launch of its self-service laundromat brand ‘Hotel Laundry,’ which incorporates IoT (Internet of Things) technology, and is recruiting franchisees nationwide.
Hotel Laundry, which values “a special time for clothes that have worked hard for a week,” has developed a dedicated application to enhance consumer convenience. Consumers using Hotel Laundry can reserve washing machines in advance through the app linked to the laundromat’s internal machines, allowing them to efficiently save waiting time. In addition, users can check the remaining washing time via the app, and a payment system through the app has been introduced to reduce the hassle of cash and card payments.
Franchisees can also manage their stores remotely using a control system linked to the internal machines, reducing labor costs. This is especially advantageous for the increasing number of people with side jobs, who can generate stable income while maintaining their regular jobs. Furthermore, additional revenue can be earned by increasing machine utilization through applying discounts during relatively low-usage times such as weekday daytime and late night hours.
Currently, Washup Korea’s self-service laundromat brand ‘Hotel Laundry’ is recruiting franchisees ahead of its official store opening in December, with over 20 stores already completing pre-franchise reservations and preparing for operation.
