Delivery of Even a Single Mask... Lotte ON Launches Ultra-Small Quantity Immediate Delivery Service

Delivery of Even a Single Mask... Lotte ON Launches Ultra-Small Quantity Immediate Delivery Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte On will expand its ‘One-Hour Delivery Jamsil’ service products to include about 600 daily necessities, including items from Lotte Mart and LOHB's, starting from the 27th.

Accordingly, by using the ‘One-Hour Delivery Jamsil’ service, customers can order about 600 daily necessity products needed by single-person households, including Lotte Mart’s representative home meal replacement brand ‘Yorihada’ and about 50 meal kit products, as well as about 30 beauty and health products from LOHB's such as mask packs and cleansing creams. The service is available even if only one product is purchased, regardless of the minimum order amount. The service hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and free delivery is provided for orders over 30,000 KRW.

In July, Lotte On partnered with Lotte GRS to test the one-hour delivery service in the Jamsil area, delivering about 120 products from four Lotte GRS brands including Lotteria, Angel-in-us, and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts within one hour. After operating for about two months, the number of orders has steadily increased, and with this expansion of products for sale, the average daily number of orders is expected to triple.

Along with this, Lotte On plans to enhance customer convenience through the expansion of the ‘One-Hour Delivery Jamsil’ service. Customers can order and receive products from Lotte affiliates such as Lotte Mart and LOHB's all at once, and since the service operates until 1 a.m., it is possible to purchase urgently needed daily necessities late at night through Lotte On and receive them immediately.

For this upgrade of the ‘One-Hour Delivery Jamsil’ service, Lotte On has joined forces with startups invested in by Lotte Accelerator. ‘Nowpick,’ an online convenience store specializing in daily necessities needed by single-person households, handles warehousing, product selection, and packaging, while the delivery is managed by PLZ, a delivery solution startup.

Lotte On prepares Lotte Mart and LOHB's products in advance at Nowpick’s hub centers. When a ‘One-Hour Delivery’ order is placed, Nowpick prepares the products, and a dedicated PLZ courier packages and delivers them.

Lotte On plans to prioritize expanding the ‘One-Hour Delivery’ service to locations where Nowpick’s hub centers are located. Starting with the opening of the ‘One-Hour Delivery’ service in the Gangnam area next month, the service will be introduced to major areas in Seoul.

Choi Heegwan, head of Lotte e-commerce O4O division, said, “The upgraded ‘One-Hour Delivery’ service we are introducing this time is characterized by immediate delivery of daily necessities needed by single-person households,” and added, “Lotte On will continue to strive to provide various services that customers need.”
