According to the industry on the 25th, Samsung Electronics created the commercial to allow consumers who purchase large-sized TVs to directly experience the immersive feeling provided by the high resolution and large screen of QLED 8K, using movies, the most preferred content among these consumers.
Targeting consumers looking for large-sized TVs that can be enjoyed like a theater at home amid the recent trend of reduced outdoor activities and longer time spent indoors.
This commercial delivers the message "The emotion of movies is completed on a large screen" along with a visual effect where the scenes on the TV screen gradually enlarge. It intuitively expresses the growing immersion according to the size of the TV screen, making it easy for consumers to understand the advantages of a large screen.
To create realistic war scenes, Samsung Electronics collaborated with movie special effects experts to produce dramatic explosion scenes.
Actors Shim Heeseop, who has shown a wide range of acting in various fields, and Lim Seonwoo, a rising star in the independent film scene, appeared as commercial models, performing action scenes with a professional movie stunt team to complete realistic movie scenes.
In addition to the movie-themed commercial, Samsung Electronics plans various attempts such as TV commercials using famous scenes from movies released domestically.
Yoon Taesik, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea's marketing division, said, "This commercial resonates by reflecting the tastes of Korean consumers who love movies," adding, "We hope that through diverse commercials using movies, consumers can experience the overwhelming immersion unique to QLED 8K."
Samsung Electronics expects sales of products 75 inches and larger in the domestic TV market to exceed 100,000 units from January to August this year.
