[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Orion announced on the 25th that it has launched a new dinosaur-shaped snack product called 'Gongnyong-al' (Dinosaur Egg).
Gongnyong-al is a product that reinterprets dinosaurs, which once ruled the Earth, into snacks, reflecting the preferences of children who are enthusiastic about dinosaurs. To spark the curiosity of its main customer base, children, it incorporates 35 years of Whale Snack manufacturing know-how to create nine three-dimensional dinosaur shapes, including Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and Brachiosaurus.
Matching the powerful dinosaur image, the snack enhances a crispy texture and replicates the familiar sausage flavor often grilled at camping sites. Along with this, reflecting the 'fun' concept, it also contains marshmallow candies shaped like dinosaur eggs. The packaging includes a dinosaur comic series, detailed information about dinosaur species, and bingo boards on both the inside and outside, providing various forms of entertainment.
Gongnyong-al is a global product developed by the Orion Global Research Institute. It was first launched in Vietnam last September under the name 'Jungle Boy' and received great responses. Noticing the recent trend among children of collecting dinosaur characters and their preference for dinosaur-themed items, the product has now been released domestically as well.
