"100% Black Rice · Cold Press Method"... Vegan Beauty Items Leading Ethical Consumption

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The beauty industry is experiencing a strong wave of 'vegan' trends. In line with the trend of preferring ethical cosmetics that do not contain animal-derived ingredients or sacrifice animals in toxicity tests, related companies are also continuously launching vegan products.

Missha, a brand under Able C&C, introduced the ‘Tox Vegan Cold-Pressed Mask,’ which has received 100% vegan product certification from the French vegan certification body EVE. The ingredients, known as superfoods, are extracted using a ‘cold press’ method that minimizes nutrient destruction. With a mildly acidic pH level, it helps maintain skin pH balance, making it gentle enough for daily use.

The product line consists of 10 items in two categories: sheet masks and sleeping packs. The sheet masks use cellulose-based sheets that adhere smoothly when combined with ampoules. They have excellent moisture retention, helping to cultivate clear and hydrated skin, and come in seven varieties including bellflower root pack, carrot kohlrabi pack, and green grape kale pack. The sleeping packs come in pouch-type packaging, allowing users to dispense and store as much as desired. They are best applied as the last step of skincare after cleansing and come in three types: pumpkin & red bean, apple & pineapple, and noni & coconut packs.
