[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Korea Development Institute (KDI) announced on the 19th that it will hold a policy forum on the theme of "The Dual Structure of Korean Corporate Sector" on the 24th at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul, together with the National Economic Advisory Council.
This forum was organized to diagnose the reality of the dual structure between large and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as the significant productivity gap, and to discuss response directions.
The forum consists of two sessions: the reality and policy tasks of the corporate sector's dual structure, and the digital future and the dual structure of corporations, conducted through presentations and open discussions.
Lee Byungheon, President of the Small and Medium Business Research Institute, and Yang Yonghyun, Head of Market Policy Research Division at KDI, will present on the reality of large and small-medium enterprises in Korea and ways to enhance fairness. Koo Jahyun, Head of Knowledge Economy Research Division at KDI, and Lee Jaeho, Director of the Digital Economy Research Institute at Kakao Mobility, will present on the dual structure of corporations in the digital and platform economy era.
