Shinhan Life Launches GA Subsidiary Shinhan Financial Plus

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Shinhan Financial Plus, a subsidiary-type corporate agency (GA) of Shinhan Life Insurance, announced on the 19th that it held its launch ceremony on the 18th at Shinhan L Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Shinhan Financial Plus declared its vision of "leaping to a standard sales specialist company by building differentiated world-class competitiveness" and officially began its operations. In addition to life insurance products, it plans to diversify its product offerings through partnerships with non-life insurance companies within this month.

It also aims to differentiate itself from existing GAs through online and offline sales models, building an insurtech-based sales environment, stable capital, and the Shinhan Financial Group brand.

The launch ceremony was held in a simplified manner to comply with social distancing and COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

Lee Sung-won, CEO of Shinhan Financial Plus, said, "We aim to create a differentiated sales culture centered on financial consumer protection management," adding, "We will strive to become a trusted financial sales specialist company among customers and the industry."
