Premium audio brand BOSE has launched a completely unique pair of sunglasses. These “audio sunglasses” are a fashion item that adds a distinctive point to summer styling, featuring not only the basic UV protection and vision care of sunglasses but also BOSE’s exclusive sound performance.
The innovative wearable audio device combining BOSE sunglasses and sound performance, the “Bose Frames Alto,” can be used as an attractive and unique fashion item during the summer season.
Bose Frames incorporate the smallest, thinnest, and lightest acoustic system in BOSE history into the most iconic sunglasses frame. With a proprietary open-ear design, micro-acoustic sound, voice control, and personal audio features, users can keep their playlists, entertainment, and conversations private. It allows streaming music and content, making calls, and using voice assistants hands-free for added convenience.
As a personal audio device, Bose Frames perform the same functions as true wireless earbuds, delivering an amazing listening experience with outstanding performance. The ultra-compact, ultra-thin acoustic package is seamlessly embedded inside both sunglass arms, delivering sound only to the wearer, providing a different user experience than Bluetooth speakers.
For touch and voice control, a tiny microphone and multifunction button are installed on the right sunglass arm, enabling power on/off, pairing with mobile devices, connecting to Siri or Google Assistant voice assistants, and pausing or skipping calls and music. Additional control features are available through the Bose Connect app.
Bose Frames block up to 99% of UVA/UVB rays and weigh only 45g, allowing them to be used just like regular sunglasses. They come with uniformly tinted lenses as standard, and can be easily swapped for optional non-polarized blue gradient lenses or polarized silver mirror lenses to suit personal style preferences. Both lenses highlight the frame’s modern and minimal design and include gold-plated steel hinges and charging pins. They also provide the same protection, scratch resistance, and crack resistance as the standard lenses.
The frames are equipped with a lithium battery and can be charged by connecting to the included pogo-pin cable. They offer up to 3.5 hours of continuous playback at average listening levels, up to 12 hours of standby time, and can be fully charged within 2 hours. Additionally, a cloth pouch and portable case are provided for stain prevention and storage.
