That day, 'Immortal Songs' featured a special on Kang Jin & Jin Sung. Park Guyoon, Kim Hojung, Shin Yoo, Shin Inseon, Park Seojin, and Younggi took the stage.
The first stage was Park Guyoon performing Jin Sung's 'Don't Tackle Me.' Park Guyoon expressed confidence, saying, "I really wanted to sing 'Don't Tackle Me' once in front of senior Jin Sung. I will sing it so that no one can tackle me."
The second performer was Kim Hojung. Choosing Jin Sung's 'Barley Hill,' Kim Hojung explained, "I heard that senior actually experienced the barley hill and had a long period of obscurity." The panel awarded Kim Hojung a win for his emotionally charged and heartfelt performance.
Next was comedian and singer Younggi. Making his first appearance on 'Immortal Songs,' Younggi shared his excitement, saying, "This is a big moment, like a big picture in life." Selecting Kang Jin's 'Ddengbeol,' Younggi energized the audience with a cheerful performance as promised in his interview. However, the panel once again favored Kim Hojung, giving him his second win.
The fourth stage was Shin Yoo's challenge with Jin Sung's 'At Andong Station.' Shin Yoo sincerely expressed respect, saying, "Jin Sung is a senior who has led trot music, continues to lead it, and will lead it in the future. I hope he releases many good songs for a long time." The explosive vocal performance earned a tie between Kim Hojung and Shin Yoo from the panel.
The fifth was Shin Inseon's turn. Shin Inseon said, "We meet three times a week these days," adding, "We really get along like brothers." Choosing Kang Jin's 'Love Triangle,' Shin Inseon showed enthusiasm by preparing the arrangement, choreography, and costumes herself. However, she was defeated by Kim Hojung and Shin Yoo.
The final stage was Park Seojin. Park Seojin said, "This time, I will show sorrow rather than excitement," selecting Kang Jin's 'A Glass of Makgeolli.' Park Seojin's performance, which even brought tears, was enough to move the panel. Ultimately, Park Seojin defeated Kim Hojung and Shin Yoo to take the final victory.
Also, on this day, Jung Jaehyung and Moon Heejun announced that it was their last broadcast. New MCs to fill their absence will be Kim Junhyun and Kim Shinyoung.
