[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won received 3.9 billion KRW in compensation from affiliates in the first half of this year.
According to the semi-annual reports of each company on the 14th, Chairman Chey Tae-won received 2.4 billion KRW in salary and 1.5 billion KRW in bonuses based on last year's business performance.
He received 2.15 billion KRW from SK and 1.75 billion KRW from SK Hynix. In the first half of 2018 and 2019, he received 2 billion KRW each from the two companies, so overall it decreased by 100 million KRW.
At SK, his salary increased by 150 million KRW. At SK Hynix, his salary increased by 250 million KRW, but his bonus decreased by 500 million KRW, resulting in a total decrease of 250 million KRW.
In addition, Cho Dae-sik, Chairman of the SUPEX Council, received 850 million KRW in salary and 3.752 billion KRW in bonuses, totaling 4.62 billion KRW. SK President Jang Dong-hyun received 700 million KRW in salary and 3.295 billion KRW in bonuses, totaling 3.995 billion KRW in compensation.
At SK Hynix, Vice Chairman Park Sung-wook received 1.996 billion KRW, President Lee Seok-hee received 1.825 billion KRW, President Kim Dong-seop received 1.077 billion KRW, and President Jin Gyo-won received 1.024 billion KRW.
