Saewool Nuclear Headquarters, Next Year's Business Support Project Contest and Briefing Session

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters is conducting the '2021 Business Support Project Contest.'

The Business Support Project refers to the public recruitment of ideas from resident organizations, local governments, and institutions by nuclear power operators for the purpose of revitalizing the local economy, improving the environment, and enhancing welfare in nearby areas, in accordance with the 'Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants.' It supports projects directly or indirectly needed by the region.

The contest fields include five areas: education and scholarship support projects, regional economic cooperation projects, surrounding environment improvement projects, regional welfare projects, and regional cultural promotion projects. The total contest amount for 2021 is 11.6 billion KRW.

The application period is from the 18th to September 18th, and submissions are accepted by direct visit to the Saewool Headquarters Regional Cooperation Department Customer Reception Room.

The selection process for the Business Support Project proceeds through business office review, regional committee consultation, and KHNP headquarters review, with the results scheduled to be announced in January 2021.

Regarding the project, Saewool Headquarters plans to hold two briefing sessions on the 21st: at 10:30 AM at Seosaeng-myeon Office and at 2:00 PM at Ulju County Office.
