Turkey Reports 1,243 COVID-19 Cases... [Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Turkey has reached its highest level in 45 days.


On the 14th (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health reported that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 1,243 from the previous day to 245,635. The number of new confirmed cases on this day is the highest recorded in 45 days since June 31, when there were 1,293 cases.


The number of new confirmed cases in Turkey had decreased to 700-800 in early June but has been on the rise again since surpassing 1,000 on the 5th. The cumulative death toll increased by 21 from the previous day to 5,912.
