Gwangyang City Council Delivers Relief Supplies to Gurye Flood-Affected Areas


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Gwangyang City Council visited Gurye-gun, which suffered great damage due to heavy rain and the collapse of the Seomjin River embankment, on the 14th to donate relief supplies.


Council members delivered bottled water, ramen, and other items to the flood victims in Gurye who are sweating over restoration work after suffering enormous property damage, offering their consolation.


Meanwhile, Chairman Jin Su-hwa met with Kim Soon-ho, the head of Gurye-gun, to express condolences and discuss future measures for restoring damage in the cities and counties along the Seomjin River.


Chairman Jin Su-hwa said, "I extend my condolences to the residents of Gurye-gun who lost their homes due to the sudden heavy rain," and added, "I hope the restoration proceeds quickly so that they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
