An SBS official stated on the 14th, "Nothing has been confirmed yet regarding announcer Jang Ye-won's resignation."
Earlier, a media outlet reported that announcer Jang had submitted her resignation and would leave SBS on the 31st.
The media reported that announcer Jang expressed a desire to continue the programs she was hosting even after declaring freelancing, but the broadcasting company responded that it was not possible. SBS also stated, "There have been no discussions regarding follow-up programs."
Jang Ye-won, who joined SBS in 2012 as part of the 18th public recruitment class, attracted attention as the youngest announcer ever to pass the exam at age 23. Since then, she has appeared on various programs and has been active as a flagship announcer for SBS. She is currently appearing as the MC of SBS PowerFM's "Cinetown" and "Animal Farm."
