GS Establishes Venture Investment Corporation 'GS Futures' in Silicon Valley

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] GS Group has established a venture investment company in Silicon Valley, USA, to discover promising startups. This is the first time GS has set up a corporation overseas for venture investment.

GS Group announced on the 14th that it established 'GS Futures' in Silicon Valley, USA, in July with an investment of 190 billion KRW. Through this, they plan to discover future growth engines by investing in local startups.

As the first step, GS Futures raised a venture fund totaling 155 million USD (approximately 184 billion KRW). It is known that 10 affiliates, including GS Corporation and GS Retail, participated in the form of equity investment.
