[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Lotteria announced on the 14th that it will sequentially resume operations at eight branches where confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were reported.

Lotteria stated that starting from 11 a.m. on the same day, it will sequentially resume operations at eight branches where COVID-19 cases occurred: Jonggak Station, Myeonmok Jungang, Gunja, Sogong 2nd Branch, Seoul Station History, Sookdae Entrance Station, Konkuk University Station, and Konkuk University Star City Branch.

According to Lotteria, as of 10 a.m. on the day, the total number of Lotteria employees infected with COVID-19 remains at 11, as previously reported. Among the 22 attendees of the meeting where the infection occurred, 11 tested negative and 11 tested positive.

Lotteria said that after the confirmed case at Jonggak Station branch on the 11th, the epidemiological investigation by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency was completed for the eight branches by the 13th, and disinfection and internal cleaning measures were completed over three days until the 13th.

At the branches that resumed operations, new replacement personnel were recruited, and employees who tested negative by local government authorities and were able to resume daily life were given a two-week leave as a preventive measure to stop further spread. Additionally, branches with employees who tested negative completed their own disinfection measures before returning to normal operations.
