You Can Participate by Regramming the Post of 9 Female Independence Activists
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Uplus is conducting a campaign until the 17th to raise awareness of female independence activists and honor their noble spirit on SNS in celebration of Liberation Day.
On LG Uplus's official Facebook and Instagram accounts, posts featuring nine female independence activists ▲Kwon Gi-ok ▲Kim Maria ▲Na Hye-seok ▲Nam Ja-hyun ▲Park Cha-jeong ▲Oh Gwang-sim ▲Lee Byung-hee ▲Choi Bok-dong ▲Hyun Gye-ok are shared. Users can simply repost (regram) these posts on their own SNS accounts. When uploading to SNS, they should include three hashtags: ‘#NotAnOrdinaryDay’ campaign hashtag, which signifies appreciating the patriots in everyday life, along with ‘#FemaleIndependenceActivists’ and ‘#LGUplus’.
The female independence activists appreciation campaign was planned to widely publicize relatively overlooked female independence activists and remember history together with the MZ generation, who value expressing their beliefs through photos, short texts, and hashtags on Facebook and Instagram.
LG Uplus will provide a total of 815 participants, selected by lottery, with a ‘Female Independence Activists Patriotic Goods Package.’ The package includes ▲LG Uplus Black Edition T-shirts featuring the faces of the nine independence activists, created by history designer ‘Gaesik-i (meaning Concept and Conscious People)’ ▲a badge shaped like a mugunghwa (rose of Sharon) that shines light, inspired by ‘Gwangbok (光復),’ meaning ‘restoring the light’ ▲a mugunghwa grip tok ▲and a thank-you card.
Oh Young-soo, head of LG Uplus’s Digital Marketing Team, said, “Although everyone is going through a difficult time due to COVID-19 and heavy rains, we hope to commemorate the 75th Liberation Day by re-examining the forgotten female independence activists and reflecting on their noble sacrifices and spirit of independence. We will present marketing activities that fulfill corporate social responsibility while reflecting the preferences of the MZ generation, who actively express themselves through SNS.”
