[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 14th that it will conduct flood recovery volunteer activities in the Jeweon-myeon area of Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, which was damaged by heavy rain, over two days from the 13th to the 14th.
About 50 volunteers composed of Hankook Tire employees will visit affected farms to comfort the hearts of flood victims in distress by supporting the removal of soil and debris, demolition and restoration of flooded facilities, and more.
Donghwan Moon, Head of Production at Hankook Tire, said, “We hope to be of some help to local residents suffering from unexpected natural disasters during these difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We wish for the flood recovery to be completed as soon as possible so that local residents can return to their daily lives in stability.”
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire donated 100 million won on the 11th to support flood damage recovery in the Daejeon and Chungnam areas, providing assistance for the restoration of flooded households and facilities as well as relief supplies for disaster victims. Additionally, they supported a 45-seat bus at the flood recovery site in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, facilitating smooth transportation for volunteers.
