LG Electronics "Boils 1 Liter of Water in 100 Seconds"... Introducing the Highest Power Induction in Korea

An LG Electronics model is introducing the new Dios induction cooker. This product boasts a maximum power of 3300 watts, the highest in Korea for a single plug-type burner.

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 14th that it has launched a new Dios induction cooktop with the highest power output in Korea for a single plug-type burner.

The new product features a maximum power of 3,300 watts, offering a cooking speed up to 2.5 times faster than LG Electronics' gas ranges in the same class. This means it can boil 1 liter of water in about 100 seconds. This result was obtained through tests conducted in the presence of the international certification body 'UL'.

By applying control technology that reduces the noise of the fan which lowers the internal temperature, the induction noise has been reduced compared to previous models. The cooktop surface material uses Miradur Glass from the German specialty glass manufacturer Schott, which is highly resistant to scratches.

It also boasts industry-leading safety features. Using the LG ThinQ app on a smartphone, users can remotely monitor the product status anytime and anywhere, and can turn off the power or reduce the heat.

The new product is equipped with a ‘220-degree heat-resistant coil’ that minimizes damage to the induction coil even at high temperatures. It also adopts ‘high-performance insulation material’ to protect the coil from heat generated by the cooktop surface. When the voltage is lower or higher than the standard, 17 safety systems including ‘high/low voltage protection design’ protect the product.

The 'Wide Zone' allows users to use two burners separately under normal circumstances, but when cooking large quantities or bulky ingredients, the two burners can be used together like a large burner. Convenience features such as ‘automatic cookware detection,’ which senses where the cookware is placed and allows users to simply select the heat level regardless of the position, are also maintained.

LG Electronics offers a 10-year free warranty on the smart inverter IH coil of the Dios induction cooktop. The retail price is 1,940,000 KRW.
