Highlighting Trump's Diplomatic Achievements
Additional Agreements Expected in Middle East Within the Year
"Will Conclude Iran Negotiations Within 30 Days if Reelected"
NSC Advisor "Not Surprised by Nobel Prize Bid"
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] On the 13th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump promoted his diplomatic achievement, claiming that the normalization agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was due to his mediation. He also mentioned the North Korea issue, his usual topic, saying "I prevented a war."
President Trump met with reporters in his office after posting a joint statement on Twitter in the morning announcing that Israel and the UAE had agreed to fully normalize relations. The event was unplanned.
According to the full press corps, President Trump said he expects other Muslim countries to follow suit. He added, "Things are happening that I cannot talk about," expressing surprise.

President Trump said, "When I was elected, they said a war would break out within days," emphasizing that he prevented a war and did not omit mentioning North Korea.
He said that everyone, including former President Barack Obama, said there would be a "war with North Korea," but "we did not go to war."
He continued, "If I had not been elected and someone else had been, we would have gone to war," stressing, "We are doing very well in the Middle East right now."
He also boldly claimed, "If I win the election, I will make a deal with Iran within 30 days."
Jared Kushner, senior White House advisor and Trump's son-in-law, who is known to have led the negotiations, suggested the possibility of additional agreements within this year at a separate press conference, saying, "I think there will be very good opportunities in the Middle East."
Robert O'Brien, White House National Security Council (NSC) advisor, asserted that he would not be surprised if President Trump received the Nobel Peace Prize.
With the presidential election just over 80 days away and struggling approval ratings, President Trump appeared determined to use this agreement as a turning point.
For President Trump to secure the support of his base, including white Christian evangelicals and Jewish communities, the Middle East issue is a perfect card, more so than North Korea.
