Cheil Worldwide's "'Jennie's Red Note' Ad Surpasses 9 Million Views"

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Cheil Worldwide's advertisement for KT's Galaxy Note20, titled "Jennie's Red Note," has surpassed 9 million cumulative views on social networking services (SNS) such as YouTube and Instagram.


In this advertisement, Cheil Worldwide once again cast Jennie from the girl group BLACKPINK, who appeared in the Galaxy S20+ "Aura Red" commercial in February this year, as the model. To more easily promote the KT subscriber-exclusive color "Mystic Red," the ad title was set as Jennie's Red Note. The retro concept evokes a youthful movie feel with denim fashion and dreamy colors.


A Cheil Worldwide official stated, "Following the precedent where Jennie, a fashion and trend icon, inspired target consumers' admiration that translated into desire for ownership and purchase in the previous advertisement, we reselected her as the model for the Galaxy Note20 commercial."


Meanwhile, as an extension of this campaign, KT will run a promotion from the 14th to the 31st offering unlimited Netflix Standard for 3 months to customers subscribing to KT 5G's "Super Plan Plus" tariff plan at the "Special" level or higher. Additionally, various subscription benefits are provided, including 3 months of free streaming games for Galaxy Note20 purchasers and a free photo book RED coupon limited to the first 2,500 customers.
