[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Bob Woodward, a journalist famous for his exclusive coverage of the 1973 "Watergate scandal," will reveal the contents of the letters exchanged between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un next month.

On the 12th (local time), U.S. political media outlet The Hill reported that Woodward's book titled "Rage," which focuses on President Trump, will be published on the 15th of next month and will include the contents of 25 letters.

President Trump and Chairman Kim have disclosed that they exchanged letters before and after the first and second North Korea-U.S. summits, but have never revealed the contents. According to the book description posted on Amazon, Chairman Kim described their relationship as a "fantasy movie" in a letter sent to President Trump.

This book is Woodward's second work focusing on President Trump. Woodward previously authored "Fear" in 2018, which exposed the dysfunction within the Trump administration. The new book is being released about seven weeks before the U.S. presidential election and is based on hundreds of hours of interviews with stakeholders.

President Trump revealed that he conducted an interview with Woodward in January. Accordingly, the new book is expected to include how the instincts, habits, and style that President Trump developed over his three years in office have taken root in his approach to the 2020 crisis.

Woodward, deputy editor of The Washington Post (WP), has covered U.S. presidents from Richard Nixon to President Trump over the past 49 years.
