[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Office of Education delivered 800 raincoats and 8,200 quarantine supplies, including hand sanitizing tissues, to the 'Green Mothers' Association,' which is in charge of traffic safety guidance in the province, on the 13th.
The Office of Education has been distributing winter clothing such as cold-weather vests and gloves annually to support traffic safety guidance during the winter season. This year, they plan to supply raincoats and quarantine supplies to ensure that the 'Mother Traffic Angels' face no difficulties in their traffic safety guidance activities.
Separately, the Office of Education decided to produce and distribute 'It's Okay Even When It Rains, Safe Umbrellas' for middle and high school students in the second half of the year, and safety bag covers for new kindergarten and elementary school students next year to create a safe route to and from school.
Park Se-gwon, Director of Democratic Citizenship Education, said, "As COVID-19 prolongs and the weather becomes hot and humid, I would like to express my gratitude to the Green Mothers' Association and related personnel who provide daily traffic safety guidance for the safety of our children."
