Swift Actions Including Full Effort to Discover New Deal Projects
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Gunsan City, Jeonbuk, held a special lecture titled "Strengthening Employee Competence for the Promotion of Gunsan-type New Deal Policy" to proactively respond to the government's Korean New Deal policy direction.
On the 13th, the city announced that it held a special lecture to strengthen employee competence to share trends in government policies related to the Korean New Deal and to prepare strategies for discovering Gunsan-type New Deal projects, with about 60 employees including the heads of national budget and public project departments attending at the Volunteer Center auditorium.
The special lecture was conducted by Park Dongwan, CEO of Global & Local Brain Park, a national policy research institute, and covered topics such as the characteristics and main contents of the Korean New Deal in the COVID-19 era, revision of promotion strategies for major policies of Gunsan City and directions for developing new policies, methods for obtaining key contents of public projects and using policy data sites, and practical training on writing project proposals.
The city's swift actions, following the Korean New Deal response policy forum held on the 10th and the employee competence strengthening education, are interpreted as evidence of the high expectations placed on the Korean New Deal policy more than ever before.
Ko Daeseong, Director of the Planning and Budget Division, said, "We are making every effort to discover Gunsan-type New Deal projects that align with the Korean New Deal policy, and we are doing our best to recover the stagnant local economy and create continuous jobs through proactive project discovery."
