[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Bom Su-yeon, a former member of the girl group Pocket Girls, has denied the recent controversies regarding sponsorship and pregnancy confessions posted on social media, calling them groundless.
Bom Su-yeon's agency, Miss Dica, stated on the 13th, "Bom Su-yeon has been a victim of SNS impersonation," adding, "All the contents in the posts about sponsorship and pregnancy confessions are completely unfounded."
They continued, "Bom Su-yeon is currently taking a break due to personal reasons, and any future responses will be decided after discussions with her."
Earlier, on the 9th, an Instagram account impersonating Bom Su-yeon posted, "Since my days as a racing model, I have done provocative work. I have often succumbed to the temptation of money," and "I engaged in sponsorship arrangements and became famous while being part of the girl group Pocket Girls."
The post further stated, "More lucrative offers came in. Eventually, I accepted an offer from a wealthy Chinese individual and lived there," and "After returning to Korea, I engaged in sponsorship again and became pregnant with that man's child," along with revealing an ultrasound image of the fetus.
Although the post was later deleted, the related content spread through online communities.
Meanwhile, Bom Su-yeon received the Best New Model Award at the 3rd Korea Racing Model Awards in 2014 and debuted in 2015 with Pocket Girls' digital single album "Bbang Bbang."
She later withdrew due to personal reasons and is currently on hiatus.
