[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Sunghye] Dongwon F&B announced on the 13th that it has launched the ‘Yangban Gim Eco Package,’ which eliminates the plastic container used for seasoned seaweed packaging.
The Yangban Gim Eco Package is a product that removes the plastic container used to protect the contents from external impact, reducing the packaging volume and thereby saving on the vinyl and paper used in the product.
The Yangban Gim Eco Package is the first in Korea’s seasoned seaweed packaging to introduce ‘laser cutting film,’ solving the problem of the seaweed tearing along with the packaging when opened. The ‘laser cutting film’ is a packaging material created by making small holes on the film surface with high-temperature lasers to form dotted lines that allow easy tearing. It was developed by Dongwon Systems, Dongwon Group’s comprehensive packaging company, after more than two years of research. The Yangban Gim Eco Package can be easily torn by holding both sides along the dotted line, allowing convenient consumption without damaging the seasoned seaweed.
The price of the Yangban Perilla Oil Gim Eco Package is 7,480 KRW for a bundle of 20 packs of 4g each.
